The goldendragon treads on the eastern frontier, puffing its mighty flames that brightens up the skies so that the wisdom of old and the strength of the new age conspire a rebirth of humanity.
There are 308 gilded bronze and iron vats scattered all over the Forbidden City that served as water reservoir and fire hydrant. The huge vessels are over 6 feet in diameter and have been fully utilized during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Today, the vats are more decorative than useful like they have been in the imperial complex thousands of years ago.
